My Lift Lean Journey
About me. I’m Lisa Miller and I’m a 49-year-old mum of 2 grown-up children and grandmother to my handsome grandson. I’m a manager at Mile End Service Station, Neath and have been for the past 16 years.
I have been a member of “Lindi Fitness Lift Lean” since Lindi first put the group together in January this year. Since then, Lindi and this amazing group have helped me so much…Not just physically but mentally too.
For me joining “Lift Lean “was an easy decision. Having known Lindi for 5 years from the gym I have always loved her classes they were always full of energy and passion, then in March 2020 due to Covid the gyms shut down, my fitness routine was gone. However, within weeks Lindi had started doing online classes, it took a while to get into a new routine of working out from home but eventually it became the norm, gyms reopened for a short time, but I couldn’t get back to it and again my fitness routine was gone, so when Lindi suggested her “Lift Lean” plan to me I immediately told her to count me in.
The live online-home workouts work well for me, and I feel I’m achieving more from them than I ever did at the gym. I love coming home, setting up my work-out area then logging onto Zoom for the amazing “live” smaller group session with such a lovely group of ladies who support each other through our journey…Don’t get me wrong the first few sessions although I logged onto Zoom live, I hid my camera as I didn’t like seeing myself, but then seeing the same familiar faces each day I found the courage to let them see me. I also love the fact if something crops up and I’m unable to make a live session I can catch up at any time to suit me, also if I enjoy a session, I can repeat it over and over.
All the sessions are amazing however two of my favourites must be “Bodymax” and “Upper Body” Narrowing favourites down is so difficult as Lindi makes sure every session is what we want and is adapted for everyone no matter what their level of fitness.
In the last 6 months I’ve lost an accumulated total of 20.5cm from different areas of body and 8lbs of weight (I appreciate to many 8lbs in 6 months isn’t a lot, however I struggle with weight loss BUT have learned that fat turns into muscle and muscle weights more than fat).
I’m so looking forward to continuing this journey with everyone here at “Lift Lean”.
